⁷² Again he denied it with an oath: “I don’t know the Man!”

⁷³ A little while later, some of the bystanders approached Peter and said to him, “Surely you’re one of them, too—your accent gives you away.”

⁷⁴ Then he began to curse^[a] and to swear an oath: “I do not know the Man!” Right then, a rooster crowed.
